Performance Metrics

The Performance Management Unit (PMU) is responsible for monitoring and analyzing Los Angeles City Planning’s key performance metrics. Across a broad array of issues, the staff assigned to this unit advises management on how new and existing planning policies are working, with an aim to improve case processing timeframes, data collection, and analysis.

The data below is available for public use and will be updated on a regular basis to offer transparency in City Planning performance. The Performance Management Unit (PMU) tracks a number of key performance indicators to provide transparency on new applications for land use entitlements submitted to LA City Planning. This dashboard, automatically updated on a weekly basis, includes filing and completion dates, geographic information, and a brief project description. This dashboard will contain approximately three-months’ worth case processing activity. This dashboard will be published in early spring once we have collected sufficient data. Additional data may be requested by contacting PMU directly at planning.metrics@lacity.org.

 

Los Angeles City Planning administers and tracks a number of development incentive programs that facilitate the creation of new housing opportunities across the city. CHIP and ED 1 data are updated on a weekly basis and general housing metrics are updated monthly. As new programs are added, their respective metrics will be added below.
